Some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war. They complain about his prosecution of it. One person recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history.

Let's clear up one point: We didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember. It was started by terrorists on 9/11. Let's look at the "worst" president and mismanagement claims.

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did. From
1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of
18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

Worst president in history? Come on!

Lets say it again just so everyone is clear. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. All but one of the hijakers was Saudi. Osama is Saudi. There was no evidence that Iraq had WMD. This war was and is a big mistake that will haunt America for years.

So...    Posted 03-31-2004 at 14:00:12       [Reply]  [No Email]
By your logic:

"Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. All but one of the hijakers was Saudi. Osama is Saudi."

Shouldn't we have invaded Saudi Arabia instead of Afghanistan?

here here! Amen!    Posted 03-31-2004 at 12:23:12       [Reply]  [No Email]

Stop picking on "MY" president. Clinton may never be the candidate I could vote for, but he'll be my president forever!
First he said he would only raise taxes on the rich, then he raised my taxes,, POOF, guess I'm rich.
Then he told me that what he did with Monica was not sex, and was not considered adultery, oooohhhhh baby, what a wonderful man he is! I can't agree with his politics, but I'll denfend to the death his right to advise me on marital matters, and prolly choices in cigars! Besides look at all the things he did "For the children!"
As for imported goods, how come everyone keeps complaining about our imported products? I WANT THAT CHOICE! That's what capitalism is all about. I wanna be able to buy a cheap piece of junk, or top quality products. Get the govenment OUT of manufacturing, and you might see a lot more growth here at home.
Ron, who is gonna try and drag Bill over to the right, so's we can party with Rush!

Yer off...    Posted 03-31-2004 at 09:06:36       [Reply]  [No Email]

The one thing that bugs me is how they think Bush could have prevented 9-11.Im shocked, surprised it took them this long .We provided the planes, fuel, people, buildings, what did it take from the terrorists???.Wake up,its the airlines, security stinks. Were in the life now anything is possible.Instead of pointing blame lets get together see what needs done and work on it.If theyd put all that energy to good use can you imagine what would get done.

That is not...    Posted 03-31-2004 at 07:17:47       [Reply]  [No Email]
an option for Liberals....for them it is a way of life to whine and snivel and point fingers. The only time they are not complaining is when they are stuffing cash into their pockets. Shucks...I bet they'd complain if ya hung em with a brand new rope too. :^)

Clipper: a barkeeps perspective :^)

but    Posted 03-31-2004 at 08:10:39       [Reply]  [No Email]
you got to remember, over half the country voted for liberals as you put it. What makes you think your ideas are better than the majority?
Just a thought, don't take it personally

Clipper    Posted 03-31-2004 at 08:22:07       [Reply]  [No Email]
I didn't put out any ideas...just my own opinion and observations...I woudda voted but I was too busy working to pay taxes :^)

What about 1995 when Fed. Bldg in Ok, was bombed, these were good ole boys from the USA? There are so many hate groups right here in USA. We don't have to have foreign imports, and all the presidents we have had, well read their histories.

bob ny    Posted 03-31-2004 at 06:08:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
i think the worst president i know is the president of a local antique car club. he scheduled a 50 car show in a 25 car parking lot
