This lady named Elena from Russia has had a web site for years. When she first begin writing in English it was very hard to read and a lot of Americans on message boards and such put her down for it. Her English has greatly improved over the years. Thou not speaking 100% English (but who does) you can clearly get the message she sends.

She loves riding motorcycles and traveling around her country.

Take a little time to look over her site if you will. I am almost willing to bet that you will not leave until you have went through the entire thing.

This story is her view of Chernobyl after the power plant explosion.

Just a little to help you understand her better.
80th = 80's, as in the 1980's
Technics = As in "Army Technics" means trucks, tanks, helicopters etc.

I can certainly see how the silence would be deafening.

thanks LesWV , really enjoyed that , interesting lady and it,s something to see about how things are there now, would be something if the powers that be would allow a video to be made showing the rest of the world what can happen.

Yeah isn't that something? Touring a nuclear ghost town without cost or side-effects. :)

It would be hard to comperhend a city like St Louis being alive one day. Then the next all of the people moved out with out any personal belongings and deserted.

Makes me think, "What if" about Three mile Island in PA.

See my post below. TMI and Chernobyl really are not comparable. Two entirely different reactor designs.
The really scary thing is that Russia has other reactors, still operating today, using the same flawed design as Chernobyl.
