"e. when was the last time one of our soldiers was killed in Kosovo?"

So you only want military personell in places where they won't get shot at?

Too bad that the mainstream press won't cover the deaths that don't put forward their political agenda...

Any day that you want the DOD stats on how many people die each year that are in active-service due to 'accidents', 'self-inflicted' and 'terrorist', I will be happy to let you have them...

NOT sticking my head in that particular noose...
But....
The only time you honestly, really, really truly have to defend an opinion in a strenuous or angry or upset manner is if somebody's about to kill you for it (I learned this the hard way not so very long ago). The rest of the time, anybody that disagrees is just stating their own opinion. Therefore, if this is a true statement, why then there's no need for anybody to get pissy. Everybody has their feelings and political alignment and whatall else we use to keep ourselves occupied in this life... so what? I still like a lot of people even though I think what they say is dumber than a bag of dirt. Good folks can be friends, disagree, AND not tear up the turf to do so.
Just my .02 ......

Finally! I am glad you said it. However I thought maybe you we a fellow democrat. :>)

Well if anyone deserves to speak their minds openly it is a Veteran. Even if I don't always agree w/ya Steve : >) I wish some would just learn to respect others opinions. I like hearing others views on things. Maybe that makes me young and dumb. Who knows, who cares. You are entitled to your opinion and there are still some of us who will respect it.

Don't know if you seen it on the news or not but 4 American contractors were killed, dragged through the streets and hung over a bridge today. My heart breaks for their families.
Hard to believe the war is really over.

this war will never be over. it's a shame/sad that many people compare this "action" against terriorists to wars in the past. this is not a WW2 style war and never will be. you won't change a junkyard dog by cutting off its tail. (you will only make it meaner) the animal has to be re-educated in order to change the way it has been taught how to hate.

Hey, don't "you people...." me. I happen to agree with
you. I just got tired of being yelled at for having an
unpopular opinion so I thought I'd stick to farm talk.

Silence does NOT mean consensus

all i know is kim asked time and time again to let the policital stuff go somewhere else and i have to agree with her, everytime i turn on the tv i see it in your country and mine, i turn off the tv , it,s too bad someplace like this has to be used for that as i see it does cause hard feelings between friends, who normally play nice but if there is such a thing as a tone on here it does seem to change when the talk turns to policits, i think we are all smart enough to know what come out of any policitians mouths especially at election time isn,t worth the time it takes to hear it.just my feelings ,not meant as a insult to anybody or their beliefs.
