That's what the auctioneer kept proclaiming on the bulls he was selling on RFD a few minutes ago.
Another thing he kept saying that these were good "heifer bulls". ???? That's another mystery to me. I knew things were high tech these days but I've never heard of a heifer bull or negative birth weight.

He was probably referring to the bulls' epd's when he said negative birthweight. I think he was talking shorthand.

Negative epd's for birthweight would translate to a potential heifer bull.

I never heard of negative birth weight either but today a big selling point sellers of breeding stock use is ,low birth weight, the lower the birth weight the better the chance of no calving problems. the goal is a low birth weight fast growing calves. That is why he was calling them good "heifer bulls"

"Now there's a world of functionality." the Lady cattle judge said, the bull walking away from her.
That comment cracked me up.

negative birth wieghts, heifer bulls, must be something new for any breed other than a Shorthorn of-course. We takes our cattle seriously. we keep our pounds and sixes straight.

Would I stretch any good story?

Typing all this I finally figured it out. them cattle are some of them Californians'.

LOL
