Sweet Gum Balls

Hello everyone, hope all is fine! I have 8 large sweet gum trees scattered around the yard that produce these spiny balls that are a nuisance. I like the trees for their beauty and shade they give. Question is there a market for these balls? How to rid the yard, other than raking them up(close to 1 1/2 acres). The older I get the harder the yard is to maintain, but I hope my health hold up till I'm ninety-something. Any comments are welcomed..Thanks in advance.....BadMoon

I hate those things, they hurt so bad when you step on them. Sounds like you got a LOT of them. :(
