Bought $32. in gas today and an apple juice for $1.07

Signed the receipt and drove away. Got a call telling me, if I didn't come back and pay for my fuel I would be arrested.

WHAT???!!! I signed my credit card receipt without looking at it (dumb, dumb, dumb)

Looking at the receipt, they only put $1.07 on my credit card! Why would that clerk think anyone would charge card only an apple juice?! I hereby assign 50% of that idiocy to the clerk!

Peace to you all this weekend.

Didn't read your receipt?

And you expected some minimum wage flunky to care?

Man I gotta move out of the city.

I thought for sure you were going to chide yourself for spending $1.07 for an apple juice. How much per gallon does apple juice cost?

Sometimes you just get into the habit of trusting people and therein lies the rub. You trusted the clerk to have some idea of how to do her job.

I once pumped 10.00 gas and found I HAD NO MONEY. Of any kind. I talked to the clerk, this is a small town remember....said I would be coming back to town in the morning to bring the kids to school and would stop by with the money then. Left all my phone numbers and my drivers license.

At about ten p.m. the cops showed up at my door claiming I was a drive-off. They had my license WITH my address on it which is how they tracked me down. Apparently the clerk thought I was coming directly back. I asked the cops why I would leave my license if I was a drive-off and had no intention of coming back, giving them a perfect way to find me. They kind of stared stupidly and then giggled.

Um...don't mean to offend you, but....

Maybe it's the person who paid $10.70 for a gallon of apple juice.

Such comparisons really make me wonder at why people complain at the price of gas (not that you were). It's just that the thought crossed my mind because I am pretty severe at $/unit shopping and comparison.

Maybe she is diabetic and needed juice. I know when my father is having a spell a $1.07 is a small price to pay.

Yes, of course. I have similar medical peculiarities to deal with.

LOL!!! I totally agree! I am the real idiot! Living such an innocent life, I was just overly excited by the thought of being arrested! I can see myself on the Leno show "dumb criminals"...Our Farm Name is emblazoned on the truck in 6" letters!
