Here are some of the suggestions that came in from three different sites. I think a reference to farming without the word farm in it would go over better. Anybody like any of these? Or have any more last minute suggestions?

C J Mouser's ...

Slow, but Not Stopped

A View From the Bottom

C J Takes On

Dysfunction Junction

The Accidental Farmer

Cornbread Bites

Barbed Wire Bits

Beyond All Repair

From a Dead-End Road

The Seven-Mile File (we live at seven mile point)

Slightly Cracked Eggs

Makin' Bacon

What now, brown Cow?

Pork'n'Beings (I think this is cute)

Road Apple Review

I'm a big fan of:
Dysfunction Junction
and
Road Apple Review
with maybe a lean toward the former. I sure do remember the School House Rock song of a similar title.

I liked pork-n-beings but in the end it's all up to you so whatever you choose just know we'll all be lookin for ya! Keep up the good work : )

I keep leaning towards that one myself. The only thing is not all the topics will be about pigs, but I'm not so sure that really matters.

That's ok, if it's not about pigs it's about other "beings" whether they be 2 legged, 4 legged, whatever ; )

Hello Cindi, why not try to get the word PEN into your name? Like Country Pen it could stand for both your writing and the pen that holds a peticular animal that your writing about.

Seven Point Pen
Cindi's Pen

Or the word View. Your Point of View on life on the homestead. Cindi's Point of View.

So Says Cindi. *grin*
The View from Seven Point
CJ's View
CJ's Pen Point
Country Ink? or Oink?
Tales from My Pen?

You need to remember, you're target audience will have generally grown up with that show and those that watched it, which is most of us, will focus right in on the title and read the column. They are often the ones that will contact the publisher to say how much they liked it which is good for you.

This name recognition is critical. "Ramblings" is just a word but another can be used along with the main title. I think that it's got a lot going for it. I don't believe you'll run into a copy write problem. Incidentally, it should appeal to the farm community because they probably did watch that show and chuckled at the ineptness and it'll appeal to the "farmer in the city folk" types also as they have or had aspirations to be farmers and also watched that show. Give it some thought. We had a columnist here who wrote under "Alps Road" and he was well thought of. I read him and enjoyed him. He was a school teacher and a gentleman farmer depicting his life on his "farm". His articles had some humor but were more of a dairy thing. He did invent a mythical character with whom he talked to occasionally. A real down home type of vagabond. This broke up the monotony of the "dairy" for people. He no longer writes as he had a tragic accident. He was pulling something with his tractor and somehow fell off and the tractor circled and ran him over and then came back and did it again. He lingered a bit and then expired. I miss his column.

I think you have a great style and enjoy your writings and do email them to my wife ...next room and she enjoys them also. Uh, I'm on my laptop and I hate reading to her so I email them to her. Luck.
