A son and 6 YO grand son was here to day and so we set off this rocket a few times . I caught this one at count down . It went about out of sight. Son is trying to catch it from the other side .

When one of the boys had mono years ago, he got into rockets and his brother would chase them down. One day the wind was blowing so we tried to lean into it some. The thing went up aways and leveled off, then really gained speed. Todd was way upwind, but we saw him watch the thing rip over his head and he started running across the onion patch after it. Another time one stuck to the nichrome wire and started zooping around the Nova after us. Fun times! :)

Al: great pic, and a great pastime. Thanks for reminding me of model rockets, we used to fly them all the time with my own dad and my older brother back in the 60s.

Your grandson will have similar great memories, I'm sure.
