Hi I am 13 years old and this will be our ( mine and my brothers ) first time raising pigs for auction. our pigs arrive on 4-16-04 and we are involved with the 4-H. I am in search of any advise for anything pertaining to pigs and smart raising. they are about 50 lbs now and need to weigh over 150 lbs by mid july. can anyone give advise on fattening up a pig for july 20th date of auction? thanks KB

Keep them on full feed and water. Unless there are rules against it, medicated feed works best. You shouldn't have any trouble if you're only getting a few. Disease shouldn't be an issue. Don't be afraid to ask old timers in your area questions. If they raised pigs, they will have an answer for you. Good luck.

Try to find a lady on here by the name of Cindi, she raises pigs, and has lots of info about everything.
Good luck to you both.
Sarah
Enjoy!!
