A new Longhorn Baby Calf today!

Well the Longhorn had her calf at 10:15 am and it was on it's feet in about 20 mins. I will let Shelby weigh and find out if male or feamale when she gets home from school. Looks like a nice sized one. I will try to get a picture but Mom is protective the first couple of days and with her horns I will not try to get to close to her now. The rest of the cows are all peeking at it since it was the first one this year. 2 more to goes any day now. Mark H.

Hey do you raise longhorns ?so do we we raise all registered texas longhorns.Arent they great.?We didnt breed this year we did year before got 5 bull calves imagine all 5.I love calving timeyou dont know what youre getting.How manydo you have?I have a beauty black & white.Looks like indians at a campfire on her side.the markings..I have brindle,red roan,among others

Shelby has 3 now. I pure bred and a Longhorn Angus Cross. Not sure on the new calf yet might be a Highland Cross. She also has 2 Highland Pure bred Heifers, 2 Highland Pure bred Cows and a Pure bred Highland Bull all registerd. Add to that a whole bunch of Herford/Cross and Black Baldies and some Steers.
