i'm going to have surgery thursday. anyone have any advice

My MIL had an angioplasty. It saved her life. She unfortunately had a heart attack BEFORE the surgery, but better late than never. Any surgery is scary. I suppose thats what you are getting done? Didn't mention what type of surgery, but some posted about that, so I guess they knew. I wish you well, and you let us know as soon as you can how your doing. We want to hear from you ASAP. :)

Hope you don't wake saying that's the word that's the word . Serious though Make sure they know what your getting operated on . Like the wrong knee or something . Pin a tag right on your self some how .

just keep a positive attitude . my nana always said the body will do what the mind tells it to so if you believe your a step ahead. i'll put you on ladies' prayer nite if that's ok?

No advice here Jeff, but I can tell you that with all the advancements made in the medical field that Angioplasty is routine now. : ) I'll be PRaying for ya too

A POSITIVE attitude going into hosp, and coming home makes a great deal of impact on wellness, good luck, and hoping all is well.

Get plenty of rest before you go in. I've had angioplasty surgery 4 times in the last 22 months. Hospitals are the noisest places on Earth. And, they poke, prod, stick and feel you up every hour on the hour and even more at night. And that's not to mention if you get a whacko roomate.

Know the Doctor....good luck and don't let em talk ya into staying too's the horsepital food and ugly Nurses which causes relapses I hear....:^)
