Beautiful plant but I'd like some tips on getting rid of it. We have it mixed in with our ivy, not sure how it got there, and growing along the fence. I hate the stuff when it grows wild. I looked like I danced with a wildcat the last time I tried pulling it out of the ground, to no avail. Any tips? We have three dogs and I know this stuff is dangerous.

Aha! Excellent idea. We have a lot of leftover grease from breakfast. Normally I pour some over the dog's food. They're out'a luck now, those damn ferns are gonna get a hot dose of bacon runoff. Thanks so much.
