.......someone came to my farm last night and stole my torch and bottles. the problem is that they went into my barn and stole my generator and my solar electric fencer, and then they burned my barn down.
we had all plumbing, electrical, and fixtures in the barn for the house we are building. i guess our loss at 15,000 to 18,000.00
i guess that we law abiding citizens are just gonna have to face the fact that we are put on this earth to take care of the people that can't get a job and make it by working.
my wife and myself have worked a lot of years to save up enough money and matriels to build this house without going to the bank to get the money. i guess i have hit bottom.
this is the sixth time in five years that i have been robbed, but the worst.i am not the only one.
..............sorry to gripe, but this one hit me hard......PP

Sorry about your loss panther - so much of it goes back to drugs like meth. The lice that spread that stuff to kids, then the kids are hooked and need meth money, then they start stealing anything worth anything and brag to their druggie friends that they've broken into 28 places and never got busted so must be nobody cares. And the only thing we ever get is a cheap stereo. And our own kids steal that.

Truth is, we care alright but the cops don't hear what we hear. So we hafta change that. Well our grandkids have given us a pretty good idea who's behind it so us local grandpops have started cleaning up. If every grandpop turned in 1 suspected meth lab/drug dealer, they'd disappear overnite.

And the need for drug money would stop, and all this blasted pilferage and prsostitution would dry up. Stop and talk to a cop you trust - tell him you're concerned and ask him how you can help. By gawd we do! and we're seeing results already. After all, they needed a tip to find Saddam. :)

Man I hate to hear that, Things have been kinda quite over here in Lawrence county for a couple of years now, sounds like they didn't move very far. I know it is a helpless feeling and I hate that I can only say hang in there and don't give up.

We all feel the same way, but the idea of shooting them or something similar would only put you in jail. Most in here are too young to remember, but in the state of Iowa in the 50s, a farmer was having his home broken into , at least two or three times in a short while. He rigged up a 12 gauge and pointed it at the door. Sure enough, a guy from that area broke in and got the shot blast and crippled his leg for life.
Now, the man was convicted of breakin, but he then sued the farmer for what happened to him. The court agreed that a child could have been killed as it was pointed low. The thief won his case against the farmer and got his farm. Last time I read anything about this case, they still lived in the same town, the thief still has a bad leg and the farm , and the farmer has nothing.
Legal system in this country can sure stink.

I do remember something like that, I was a kid but the grups talked about it.

PP Sorry to hear of you're problems.
When are we going to stop it. How are we going to stop it? I don't know of anyone who hasen't been robed at some time or other. Nieghbor had a 70lb statue stolen of thier porch Saturday night. I think it's time we start hammering the Judges, Lawyers, Parole board and any others we are paying to protect us from these problems. They are not doing thier jobs.

man, that is a hard one to take. Why would someone do all that just to cover up their theft? I hope they "misuse" that torch, if you know what I mean. Sorry about the loss.

Good grief! That's terrible. Where do you live? (I should remember but I don't.) Not that I'm thinking of going anywhere but I sure don't want to move to a place where stuff like that happens. I still don't lock my house or take my keys out and have no plans to.

Sorry to hear of your trouble. I hope they find out who did it. That is rotten. I know how it feels to have things stolen. It has been happening to us for 3 years now. We know who is doing it and law keeps "having a talk" with them. I am sure things will get worse before they get better.

I hope your lose can be recovered. Good luck to you and your family.

sorry to hear about your loss. the only consolation I can offer (not to diminish the loss) is at least it was only material things.

get a backhoe and a 12 guage practice SSS. law enforcement is useless unless your speeding.

Wow, that just makes me sick. I hope they can find somebody to punish for it. I'll be praying for you and your family to see justice done.

there is "just-us"...get a big mean dog, get a bad mean attitude, get a big loud gun, learn to shoot. Bury the evidence.

So sorry to hear of your loss! Seems like the 2 legged animals are wandering further out into the country these days. Pity of it tho is if you had caught/shot em you would be the one going to jail and trial. Makes ya wanna hug a lawyer don't it? NOT!!!
We already have the dogs....just how long before we start planting land mines to protect what is ours??

Jim(MO)    Posted 04-27-2004 at 11:43:02       [Reply]  [No Email]
Sorry to this. This is one of the things we moved from the city to get away from. Didn't help. Haven't had anything that serious happen though. You can almost bet drugs (meth) are involved somehow. Hope your local law enforcement folks are as good as ours. Understaffed but good.

Sure sorry to hear the news PP. Thieves seem to be growing in numbers and boldness. We had a small crime spree in our neighborhood a few weeks back. They caught the people and we knew who they were. In fact they broke into my sons car down the street and he was really sore specialy when he found out who did it. I think that our dog ran them off that night. Hombre woke me up with is I AM GONNA KILL YOU BARK. I turned on some lights and saw nothing. Next day we heard the news and by Sunday they had two people for the spree but I still think there were more involved. One was a young girl that is my sons age and had just moved back from Louisana. She broke into and stold from everyone that had been helping the little crack head, except us and I still think that old dog earned his last 11 years keep that night.

Sounds like you lost a lot more than just materials they took some of your dreams too. I hate people that won't work and think stealing is the cool way to go.

You know back in the old days here in Texas they would hang you for stealing a horse but only put you in jail for killing a man. Theroy was there was men that needed killing but no horses that needed stealing. I sorta wish the tree huggers hadnt come along and mess it all up for us.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Why don't you seriously let it be known around that you are raising rattlesnakes for a company which sells rattlesnake meat. Just tell someone you have lunch with at a cafe or wherever. Make it real serious. Then the next time you go out, say someone left the door open and they've been all over the yard. See what happens. Post a warning of the snakes.

That just makes me feel sick to my stomach,
and makes me want to cry!
Then it makes me want to KILL.
I pray the people will be caught and some of your property recovered.
I know you can never feel the same again,
it is akin to being raped.
