vacation coming up soon. Going from Ky to Panama city beach via I65. Any suggestions from you good folks on attractions/fun on the way back-maybe through Georgia or any other way for that matter!-came back through georgia 2 years ago and hit chattanooga with chicamauga and the aquarium. Any body in that area with any tips for entertainment would be great. I have 2 kids (4&1) and me and the wife love historic outside/educational type stuff. Of course with the 2 kids in the back I may not want to stop-he he he he Thanks for any advice.

The World of Coca Cola is neat. My husband, daughter and I just went a couple of weeks ago. She did a model of the building and did a report on the history. Really neat place, and you get to sample tastes of Coke products from other countries. Its in Atlanta on MLK Jr. Drive. Theres a website for it of course :) The Tennessee Aquarium is neat, the Atlanta Zoo is great. Thats just off the top of my head. :) Y'all have a safe and fun trip, and we want to hear all about it when you get back, and don't forget to post some pictures of your trip now! :)

I have a tip FOR Panama City Beach, FL for you! The Ambassador, 15617 Front Beach Road, Panama City, FL 32413 - (850) 234-2112, (800) 338-2515. If you get there before Memorial Day they have a walk-in special for $39 a day for ANY suite. This is a condo, but set up like a motel. VERY nice rooms, right ON the beach. They all have at least a partial kitchen ( with coffee maker and refrigerator) and they have a laundry room there and the folks who run it are wonderful. They've got rooms that sleep from 2 to 6 or 8 for the same price! Even two story rooms on the top floor. This place is across the street from nice shops and a convenience store and before you get to the wild part of the beach. It's more in the "family" area.

If you come back up the Western edge of Georgia stop by Providence Canyon State Park. It's about 30 or 40 miles South of Columbus just off US 27 near Lumpkin. It's an excellent example of erosion and I believe it began just over 100 years ago when us dirt farmers disturbed the land. Also in Lumpkin (a quaint little town) is Westville, A circa 1850 village.

Can't give no recommended stops, but if you can get on the road early Sat or Sun to get through Nashville. Lots of road construction, etc. LOTs of traffic during the week.
