Oklahoma City- More than 80 chickens were confiscated and euthanized at the OKC animal
shelter following the arrest of Roberto Hernandez
last saturday nite. Police found 3 dead birds and
1 wounded bird in the backyard shed where the
birds were being pitted. Police also found a box
of knives, that are used to attatch to the birds
during combat. Hernandez is free on a 6,000$ bond.
Whats next? Hunting,Fishing or Rodeo!

Just another bureaucratic screwup & a good example of the great American way my friend - find some guy with 3 dead chckens and 1 wounded one, write his a$s up and set a court date. THEN go out and slaughter 80 more without penalty to to show everybody what power gluttons the gubmint are. I'm not sure if that's the Ouday or Cousay way, or if it's just some deep-seated need for caveman behavior, but such sickening christian logic is apparently an excuse to routinely treat the world that way. We're the only ones on earth who ever dropped a nuclear bomb. Now it's Fallujah's turn to sacrifice to our gods. They tell me we should be proud. I tell ya - sometimes i'm that close to hugging a dam tree. :)

Make mine coffee, Texas.

As you can see occasionally there may be a flare up here in K L Paradise. A difference of opinion or misunderstanding the intention of a post can do that. One nice thing here is that everyone says their bit and then go back to business as usual. Not bad when you think about it.

The point is you have a different opinion than E.G. on this topic so you refer him to a horses rearend (See you can type rearend and not have to sneak it by the censor). I do not have any use for fighting roosters either. But the mans point is look out they are coming after us next and I do not see that makes him a horses behind.

your right it's my opinion that anyone that condons training animals to kill each other or arranges them to do so is a HORSES A$$ .altough maybe they are less than any part of any animal
my appoligy to the horse

Huh?    Posted 04-29-2004 at 04:35:07       [Reply]  [No Email]
You are kidding, right?

Comparing Cock-Fighting to Hunting, Fishing and Rodeo?

hunter, fisherman    Posted 04-29-2004 at 04:40:12       [Reply]  [No Email]
ain't we got 'nuff "cops" running around trying to control everything we do? b 4 long we (the sheeple) will just stay indoors and watch tv. heck, i don't see harm in cock fighting. sure beats doing dope or gettin' drunk and driving.

Uh huh...    Posted 04-29-2004 at 04:47:54       [Reply]  [No Email]
Why stop there?

Lets pull the legs off kittens...How about puppies?...Can I train my dogs to kill each other and I collect the bets while you stand around, scratching yourself and drooling?...

You don't have any friends, do you?...

And please...Don't consider yourself a 'hunter' or a 'fisherman'...You have no clue, let alone ethics...

hunter, fisherman    Posted 04-29-2004 at 06:15:23       [Reply]  [No Email]
sounds like you got a real attitude against anyone that does not agree with your ideas. BTW, i was only making a point about losing more and more "freedoms". sorry if i ruffled your feathers, but please GET A LIFE!.

I have a life...

It includes hunting, fishing and slaughtering cute fluffy little animals and eating them and wearing their hides...

They are all dispatched as quickly and humanely as possible...Not slowly and in agony for my enjoyment or 'sport'...

I see that cock-fighting is still legal in New Mexico and Louisianna...

Guess the guy in the story should have moved to one of those states instead of 'breaking the law' where he was...

Pulling the wings off of flies and burning ants with a magnifying glass are not illegal...But I stopped when I was a kid and learned better...

I did not mean to offend anyone! I have never
been to a cockfight and I don`t gamble. I am
upset with the fact that 80 good birds were destoyed. I don`t know you and would not begin
to judge you. The point i was trying to make is
there are people out there who would like to take
your rights as a sportsman away. Cockfighting
right or wrong is a way of life for alot of people
in rural America, and the animal rights activist
do have rodeo, hunting and fishing in there sights.
I for one would like to protect my rights as a tax
paying citizen to pursue my pastime. By the way I
quit hunting 20 years ago, I don`t have a problem
with anybody who still loves to hunt, it was just
a personal desion on my part. Once again let me
apologize if I have offended anyone.

Shucks. You can type faster than me. Some of these comments sound like west coast tree huggers who don't like logging, yet refuse to wipe with plastic. Thanks for waking someone up. This starts my day off with a smile.
