Clipper    Posted 04-30-2004 at 10:01:58       [Reply]  [No Email]
Wednesday was the 1st year anniversary of the death of my kid brother. I was going through the day pretty well I thought. That afternoon I recieved a vicious e-mail in which the person not only ripped me up both sides for posting here at KL but made a good bit of fun about my brother losing his life.

To say that I lost it is putting it mildly. Without even checking to see who the e-mail came from I posted here;turned off the computer ;closed the Barber Shop;and went to a nearby farm to harrow up 110 acres of field to be used for corn planting.Having nothing but me,a tractor,an a field of rich dirt to work is the best way I have found to cope with some of the worst hits this here life has put on me.

Last night the wife turned this pooter on and printed out all the responses of what you folks put on pertaining to my "goodbye post". She parked em next to my coffee pot in the kitchen and didn't say a word to me about it.After 20 years of marriage I think she knows me better than I know myself.

At any rate I gotta tell you folks that I shed more than a few tears here this morning. Your postings just overwhelmed me to the point that it has taken me the better part of this day to compose myself and type this out.

All of you collectively have helped pull me back from the edge of the cliff I was standing on.Believe me I was ready to drop this here pooter right inta the garbage dumpster and never replace it.

Anyhow...if you folks will have me back I'll be more than glad to get back on this carousel and give her a few more whirls. I am very sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings or insulted you in any way.

As fer my regular posting's here I ask you to realize that I always try to put a humorous spin on everything I see, hear, and read. It is just my way of coping..... not only with life... but with the demons I gotta live with thanks to Vietnam. I would not have posted here about my kid brother simply because I would not want to burden any of you with the pain that I have for his loss. Ron-ar did the posting on that and I thank him for that! I ask that none of you hurt over his loss cause I firmly believe that he is in a better place.

I know now that e-mail did not come from anyone who posts came from a LOSER off another Forum that I was a regular on before coming here to KL. I won't waste my time or effort on this piece of 2 legged trash!!!

Well that's about all I got to say on this post here. I guess the Louisiana term "coona$$" applies to me more than I'll ever care to admit. Think I'll mosey on over to de Saloon and see how much crap that durn horse Ruben has gotten himself into while I been gone. Sorry for the long post but I felt it needed saying to you good folks......warmest regards....Clipper

Clipper, thanks for coming back. We need you, cause you are part of this family. Whoever sent that email isn't worth the dirt on the bottom of my shoe. You are a wonderful person. Sometimes, and this may seem silly, but sometimes, I think I can actually "feel" through the computer. That never happened to me until I was on here. I feel like I know a lot of you, even though I have never met you. Your wife is a wonderful lady, bless her heart. You have many many friends here, and don't you forget it, we love you very much. :)

Clipper, I am glad your wife knows this is also your family. Your post got me really worried but I'm also glad to know that none of us here were to blame for that terrible email. My heart goes out to you. Glad you are back at the saloon, I raise my cup to you.

Good to hear from you again, Clipper.

Glad to see you back - we lose enough good ones for some reason or other. and not just here. Tilling soil should work yup - make it a more memorable crop - when i was a teenager & got fed up, i'd grab an axe and head for the woods. Chop down whatever the heck i felt like, and the sweat and toil of making firewood brought me back to reality. I think it's something to do with keeping your hands busy - well it keeps them from strangling things and that's usually good. :)

Welcome back. (You were sincerly missed.)

DD    Posted 04-30-2004 at 16:10:19       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Welcome Back Clipper : ) We Missed You! PLEASE, If you ever feel heavy hearted again with the burden you are carrying, don't turn away from the people who care about you. Any one of us who has missed you would be glad to help you carry that load. Sometimes it helps to just talk to someone. But I know exactly how you felt by needing to be alone too. I wasn't here last year and didn't know about your Brother but you have my Condolences. Someone posted a poem you wrote for him and I can tell you loved him very much. I know folks who get to see their siblings on a regular basis and don't show that kind of love for each other. I was 7 when my Mother had a stillbirth with my little Brother so I never got to know him. I can remember laying my hand on her belly and feeling him kick. He would be 30 now and we all still grieve for him. I have an older Sister and a younger Sister so I never got to have a Brother. I've always been told that God knows what He's doing and that everything happens for a reason. Maybe someday we'll all understand that. I Pray that God will help to ease the pain that each and everyone of us feels at the loss of someone we loved. Gotta quit typing now as the words here are getting mighty blurry for some reason. (((HUGS))) Glad to see you back.

Does all that mean I still have to take your MIL??

or since you are here again, shes yours?

I can't say, glad to have you back, because you never really left, so....... how was your break ?

Katrina    Posted 04-30-2004 at 14:16:09       [Reply]  [No Email]
Clipper, you don't owe us any explanation but we sure are happy to see you back. You sure have been missed. In my posts, I come across pretty serious when in person I am just a little shy. I can't think of funny ways to send things out the way a lot of you do but I sure enjoy your talents. I look forward to keeping up with the crew and all their goings-on. On here, you guys make me laugh so hard I cry. I also cry reading the posts that tug at my heart. My family lives an hour away so you guys are my close family connection to every day communication. I'm getting too wordy...thanks for coming back and thanks to everyone who listens whether they know a persons past history or not.

Sorry about your loss. I know that I can not fully understand how you feel as I have not lost a sibling, but I know that it must be tough. Thanks to you and your brother for serving and protecting our great nation. Feel proud, you have earned it.

If you get any unexpected notices from your town hall, it's just because some of us turned a few rocks in our search for our man Clipper.

You're the fun line on Country Life and don't you forget it. you are one of the reasons that draw me in here every day. Why, it was just a few days ago I said to my wife, "I guess I'll go on-line and find out what CLipper and the rest of the gang are up to".

Any time the weight get to heavy to bear, just let us know. When you hurt, we all hurt......gfp

Welcome home, Clipper.

If you did not delete that email you should block that address from ever entering again.
If you did delete it I think possibly the "history" section could get it back.

What a cruel, sadistic, mean thing for a person to do. I cannot imagine what a person like that must be like inside.

Good to have you back: Pay no never-mind to
thoes un-caring, un-seeing, degenerates who
send negative e-mails and posts, they're not
worth the time it takes to think about them:
.....If we (on this forum) disagree on something,
(and we do occasionally), I've noticed that
everyone is Man-(or Woman) enough to disagree and
apoligize if it hurts someones feelings. BUT
there are some people who don't care about others
feelings, in fact, get a kick out of hurting
others.Thoes are to be IGNORED completly!!!!!
Sorry for the rant, and WELCOME BACK :^)

Wife said this trait endeared me to her. Oh well nuts atract nuts. No inferance intended. Well, maybe, a little. lol

Clipper my man, My grand dad used to say to me.

"Son every human body is made up of percentages.
75 percent water, 15 percent bone,9 percent protien and 1 percent A$$ hole. And some day you will run into a person that has his water and his A$$hole percentages mixed up."
I do believe the person that emailed ya has the
affliction my grand dad was talking about.
All the best to you from Canada.

Welcome back! I'm like bo, just a lurker. But people like you and Fern are why I lurk here.

I'm sorry about your brother. I like the saying that goes something like: all gave some, some gave all. From the sound of it you and your family have given more than your share. Anyone with half sense knows and appreciates this. We do.

The people that send e-mails like you got are just small, bitter, cowards (can't say stronger stuff here). They are a small minority who are just not happy with their lives and can only feel better about themselves by making others feel bad. Do your best to ignore them, easier said than done sometimes.

We appreciate you here.

Back to lurk mode.

bo    Posted 04-30-2004 at 10:58:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
not a thing you can do about idiots with computers except ignore them. Tough to do sometimes and one could start to believe in western justice real quick. Glad to see you back, now I can go back to lurking.
