If you have kids who like to play with your puter and you do some surfing yourself, you probably have pictures on there you'd rather not have them see. Remember that this thing can save a picture you might have come across, without a command from you. These are saved so the website opens smoother next time, but they have nothing to do with how well your machine runs. No, you don't need them. Yes, they can be deleted.
No problem? Try this: Go to your find program (mine is past "start, find, files & folders"), type in a wildcard and jpg. ( in other words *.jpg) That will display every jpg picture in your machine. Highlite one, then click "enter" and you'll be able to see the picture. Now look at some of those in your "C/Windows/Temporary Internet Files" and there they ALL are. They can be deleted. Cookies can too. :)
I know you all have seen this one - C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0AYURATG\cabin3.jpg
