I am still learning how to use it but this is my first ZOOM Picture taken with it. It is a duck on the pond with his head in the water over 1,000 ft away! I wanted to be able to take pictures further away sometimes and this one will do it. It should have been on a Tripod for a clearer shot. This is with 10 zoom optical and 3.5 Digital Zoom for a total of 35X on the Focus. The Camera is a New DiMage Z1 Minolta 3.2 Mega Pixle. Kind of pricey in the $400.00 range but it can do a lot more things than just take pictures one at a time. You can do a 5 min move, 10 pictures per second or less so you can pick out the best one if they are moving ect ect. It will take me a while to learn all the different things it can do. If your thinking of getting a new Camera this one should be looked at. Mark H.

That's pretty good for a 1000 foot . They are coming out with new and better ones all the time .I been thinking of up grading my old Kodak but haven't yet . Seems like so many times you miss the exact shot you would like so if you could pick one of many would be a nice feature too . I got that one of the g-sons rocket the other day but that was luck . Have fun with it and keep sending pictures of your projects .
