I previously posted about zinc and I should have clarified it as zinc sulfate. Other than as a soil amendment, does it have other uses? This is packed in 5lb bags and I'd like to use it if possible........ideas anyone?

I use zinc sulphate on pecan trees. In my area of the country the trees are zinc deficient so about three spraying with zinc sulphate help eliminate the problem.

I have heard that you use zinc sulfate as a foot bath for sheep to help pervent foot rot.

Don't know about zinc sulfate as a footbath in sheep, but COPPER sulfate is what is used to combat footrot in cattle.

I better check to make sure, but I think I used zinc sulfate in my pig feed to keep them from scouring. This is added to the prestart feeds that are a little high in protien.
