had a whale of a start. Stepping out this morningís door everything looked froze with ice everywhere: the stock tank, a bucket of wash water mistakenly left in front of the barn, my truck sheeted over in a brand new break away skin. The lawn was so frozen solid any thought I might have had mowing it I gave it up. I didnít want to shatter err break it.
Moving on, Bullet read me the riot act this morning with an attitude. Having to grind grain Buddy was determined to get in my hair. Might be a picture of that around here somewhere. But, I wouldnít swear. And talking swearing? Why is when your dragging it everybody else gets a fresh wind. Just this one more thing, thing? I had gone to Elevator before grinding, I changed four tires on a stock trailer, Fueled 2150 and moved it; no easy chore using up another hour on an under-used machine with anemic batteries. Then there seems like I was into another half dozen projects, Iíll be darned if I can remember. Got to be a situation of Toolman-izm turning into an even more sever case of un-remembering.
Then Clink starts working on me to foul my sunny brightened dayís start at lunch time, telling me how to use salt and pepper. I gave her those ones. But, waiting until Iím near changed for the evening she suggests I take out the trash. Tomorrowís trash day. Just what I need some passer-by seeing me in the laced night shirt she gave me for Christmas hauling trash? Now, there would be some gossip fodder that could thickly spread about the neighborhood. Why? I could come down with a condition?
Now, itís going to take me awhile to weigh whether I had a good day. That is if I donít have to ask Clink who I am?
Is it? Fernan.

Well...seeing as you are not on tonight, I would say you are tuckered out, and hitting the hay. I would probably be wise to do the same, but alas, it is already pretty darn late, nearly 12 am. Maybe I will learn to get in the bed and get some sleep, that way the mornings won't be so hard on me. :)

Sounds like ya..    Posted 05-03-2004 at 17:08:48       [Reply]  [No Email]
