The lastest trick by the California Gov is a fine of $100 for every mile over the speed limit. There have been 35,000 tickets written since this went into effect this week.

Good. Maybe when gas hits $100/gallon, people will notice that ExxonMobile is in the Forbes top ten and start being fussy about who's ripping them off. Can you imagine the panic if their pumps didn't sell any gas for a week? Naw, order me another SUV, who cares? :)

This is not an urban legend?

If true, then I'll be even more careful. I can e on the road a lot for work.

I've been noticing the CHP out ticketing more in the past few months. It works. People go slower.

Dave it's no urban legend. My oldest son told me about it, he is a Snap-On dealer in Sac. so is on the road all the time. The CHP seems to be going hwy by hwy the got hwy 80 from Nev. border to SF and hwy 70 was next.
