.......we are now sw mo trailer trash!!!!!
they delivered and set up our beautiful 12 x 50 trailer. it ain't much to look at,but it seems in good shape.i have got the sewer almost hooked up,and a fellow i work with is going to hook up the electric mon. night. i will have the water to it by wed.
i have been working on a shed to put stuff in.things are looking good.
its a bit to small to do our canning in, so i am gonna fix ma up a place in the new shed to can tomatoes, i don't think we are gonna have time to can beans this summer. i hate that, but thats the way things go.
i hope eveyone has a good day!!!! gotta get back on that shed..................PP

And what is this a step up from?

We lived in 3 different trailers way back when. The first one was all of 8'x26'.

Yeah! Lenore is right, I can hear that upbeat tone myself! :) Sounds like a little slice of heaven. I know you will get it just like y'all want it. I know it feels good to get outside and do some work, it's always good for the soul. :) Have a good day, and if you get a chance, send some pictures of what you are doing, always love pics.

I am taking a break myself, got to get back out there in a few minutes though. Mowing and trimming right now, going to be washing and waxing later on.

Good to hear from you, glad things are looking up for you! :)

...well when you take your Moon pie and RC cola break give us an update!
It sure is good to hear the upbeat tone back in your voice, PP.

Congrats, PP, always good to make a change.... have never realy liked living in trailers...possibly because a lot of my years working out required that I lived in them...not so much the trailer itself, but the added care and maintenance required....there are trailers made that put stick built houses to shame...one reason I am never derogatory towards them and call them "trailer trash"....I have seen people live in 'dwellings' that the poorest trailer made would seem like a mansion. We bought and lived in, for one year, a double wide, that unfortunatly cought fire and burned down....now I own and live in a modular house, that makes ordinary houses look pretty poorly built.....so, have a good one with your new home....R.E.L.

.........i don't mean to offend anyone with the term trailer trash.......heck i grew up in one!
thats just a joke around here with us locals.......i am happy to have it, dang happy!
my folks have a 16 x 80 and my granny has a 16 x 80. we don't know anything else!!!!
i wished we had put a modular in instead of stick building, we would have been there a lot sooner..............PP

16 x 80? That's bigger than my stick built house!
If it has a roof and heat you don't need anything else, doesn't matter if it moves or not.
Cheers,
Paul.

No offence taken, PP, just that some people use the term to look down their noses at others, like a trailer is something of less importance... not in my books....what you have is what you got, and I will defend anybodys right to live in what ever they choose, as long as they are happy in doing it.....there...can get off my soap box now.....anybody else want a go??.... have a gooder, R.E.L.

Our neighbor Swede Anderson had to go live in the old country one summer to claim an inheritance so he quit farming about 60 years ago and used the money to open anderson trailer homes in sebeka. His son Buster runs it now (their goal is to setup 1/day) and their daughter & hubby run brainerd trailer homes an hour east of here. They're all rolling in dough wealthy. Old Swede used to get all flustered cuz dad would ask, "How's the trailer house business, Swede?"
"Twaila Homes, Clayence, twaila homes -twaila HOMES" Maybe he was right. :)
