some folks trash is others treasures, ain't that right?

well, if so, then i got to tell you that i found a 'echo' brand backpack leaf blower. it was stacked up on top on some folks trash.

the carburetor is broke off and danglin. the plastic fittin between the carb and the engine is in 3 or 4 pieces. i hope i can use some super glue and fix it up. its got spark (yikes!)
and a near full tank of gas. just that carb is hangin. i reckon they dropped it off their truck, or backed their ridin mower over it. somethin anyway.

i hid the mrs. skillet before i drug it out of the truck. ain't no sense workin on somethin with a headache!

My husband says he knew he shoulda never gotten me a truck, lol, because I am always seeing something on the side of the road I can fix! :) So I load it up in the truck, of course!

glued up the thing and straightened out some mounting screws. beat on the air cleaner adaptor until it was sort of right. made a few heavier gaskets. fired on the 3rd. pull

Had a man here taking stuff to the Fawn Grove consignment auction a couple years ago. He picked up a push mower out of someone's trash along the way. Said he fixed a broken wire, put it in the auction and got $60 for it!

Stony Jim, are you referring to the Fawn Grove auction in York Co, Pa?

I saw an ad in the bargaineer this week which offered a reward for a Lazer Transit/level which was lost somewhere between Churchville, Md. and Delta, Pa. Sounds like it fell off a truck.........gfp

Jim must have gone for now, but yes, he is talking about Fawn Grove, York County. Jim is in N. Maryland.
