Can anyone tell me the distance (feet or rods) of 1 side of a 40 acres square? Is it 2 rods per acre?..so 80 rods or 1320 feet? or am I wrong?

It's kind of complicated as to why I want to know. I'm just trying to figure something out about a line fence that has me a bit confused...if the above is right, then I guess I'm not confused... and thats a first!

Thanks!!    Posted 05-11-2004 at 19:03:22       [Reply]  [No Email]

1320 feet is correct. One side of 40 acres is 1/4 mile.
