New York City.

Get away, see the sights. Been a few years. Start in Manhattan, in the financial district and visit the five boroughs.

I've been every where else.

Hi Mud,

Sharon & I both love the Mountains.
Oh, & the river valleys, on the Western Slope of the Rockies. That whole big complex of Rivers between the Rockies & the Bitterroot Mountains.
Montana, Idaho, I LOVE 'EM!

I saw Elk, up close, lots & lotsa buffalo, Golden eagles............
It's just amazing. I gotta get back there.
I don't think I could handle living up there, though.
We looked at some property, but reconsidered.
Too old, for that kinda "starting over".
' Til Later........
Old John

A nice peaceful day in my own house. Sitting on the front porch swing or soaking in my bathtub, also a good place to hide when it's not so peaceful, lol :)

Canoe trip on the Jack's Fork river in south MO. Late October, camping on a gravel bar. Works for me and Kay.

I love the beach, Love the ocean. We HAVE to go every year. Need the fresh air and the nice breezes, the sand between our toes, the warm sun, BUT...we don't go to anywhere populare, we HAT crowds! So, we often find ourselves on the beach relatively by ourselves. :)

Hmmm, used to be sending dear husband and son away on a fishing trip, but with so many animals now, I can't handle on my own for an entire day -- at least the milking part. The two did give me four hours alone yesterday on delivery to Ventura. I love having people (especially with children) over. I like going out for a good meal. Went to Seattle in February with sister to clean dad's apartment. It's really lovely up there -- he's actually in Olympia, quite green and lovely. But it meant leaving the guy-folks home alone and a bit of a clean-up when I returned.

Funny, my siblings spend muchos bucks on vacations and all. I really don't need it with our way of living. A jacuzzi would be nice, however....

I always head for the woods. (I'd only go to the city to hide from other people. No kidding - rent a spot by the police station and don't bother anybody, you could hide there forever) As a teenager i used to relieve my frustrations by grabbing an axe and chopping a tree. Usually it made firewood but to me, chopping a tree is the way to start something productive, much like kitchenfolks do by boiling spuds. Nowdays i tend to use mushrooms, berries, diamond willow or something as an excuse, but if i'm real content, you'll find me among the trees and critters. Come to think of it, i was watching 5 deer a few minutes ago. :)

hands down the zoo is the best lol....thinking being a farmer i wouldnt want to see critters...but it's fun...hear the children giggling...its a nice walk and always learn something...it might be that a mother taking her child behind the womans bathroom is the best place to beat a child lol....or iffin ya pluck the feather from a duck[childs petting zoo] that the dang thing will chase yer child up a tree....it is all learning lol

When Im not being a farmer, rancher or engineer I try to get away and fish or hunt. Sometimes golf.
I'll head down to Mexico a couple of times in the spring to fish a week or so and usually go back in the fall to dove hunt. November through February you can usually find me chasing doves, deer and quail! :)

3-Going to a tractor show or tractor pull alone.
4-Going to Cape cod with my wife.

Thats kind of a tough one, Mud...like being ABLE to do most anything..enjoy drives, going out for supper/dinner with the wife/freinds/family....enjoy the use of a 'stinger' and cutting torch...even knuckle busting wrenches.....tripping around the feild with whatever implement behind a tractor..... not into hunting or fishing, [haven't got the patience], I guess life itself is my get-a-way ......have a gooder, R.E.L.

I read..or I pass out..yup..when I have WAY too much going on you will find me with the fan blowing reading a big book..the longer the better!! If things are REAL bad I spend one day in total lala land!! I sleep away an entire day..since I don't like to be moody or sad I guess that would be called escapism but hey..It WORKS and I spare a bunch of BAD VIBES!! Heeheehee..love the ocean too!
