Hi! Smallmouth season isnt open yet. I did catch one on a minnow last night though. Nice size...but it was its lucky day. He got to go back to the lake.
We dont see much for small mouth here, its usually large mouth bass. We have this back lake thats full of them , almost to big for me to pull in. :)

Hows fishing in your area?

It should be good! It is time for the sandbass
to start their run, crappie or specks are good
year round, bass will be spawning soon, but I
like the bronzebacks over their larger cousins,
the blk bass. I`ll try to get over into Arkansas,
on the Buffalo river for some smallmouth fishing
at least once this year. And mr.whiskers, catfishing had ought to heat up soon. I have my
combination licence and have`nt wet a line yet.
Last day of school here tomorrow, so me and the
boy will start going soon. Oh and there is a
little trout fishing here in Ok, but not much,
another excuse to go to Arkansas!LOL!
