Go to Goat911.com for help. Also, folks at yahoo group, practical-goat or GoatBasics, also on yahoo. We give injections of Bio-Mycin for antibiotic and B Complex whenever our goats have problems. Let me know what happens.

If it was me, and my goat, I would get him to a vet NOW, and get him some treatment started right now, like now, like 5 minutes ago. It sounds like he could die if not treated soon according to this article I sent in the last post.

ty fer the advice kelly...i gave him some thiamin...see what happens...iknow this sounds cruel but taking to the vet isnt an option for us...I will treat him here and if it doesnt work out within a day i will put him down myself sooner if he seems to be suffering...he doesnt have many signs of those illnesses....he is making circles yes....but full of spunk...yelling fer his does that i removed...and knows when i am trying to catch him.....i dont know what it is but will try to do everything within my power to save him....I am a person that rather not spend x amount of dollars on an animal if i dont believe that i will be able to make that money back..it doesnt sound fair but these are not pets they are for breeding and or meat...i will now have to hold all my does and the spring buck from sale till they have all been tested and treated that in itself willcost an arm and leg...i will keep ya updated on his health...thanks for the link...dale anne

Totally understand. I myself am looking into meds through Jeffers in Dothan for goats wanted in the near future. They have really good prices, don't know who you use, but they will send you a catalog, Jeffers.com is where I go. Got to save money where you can.

Give him a bath and a bale of fresh straw to roll in. If he starts to soil his whiskers when he gets up, he is fine. If not, barbecue him. Really good when they are not smelling like a goat.

Doesn't sound very familiar to me but you may be able to call and ASK the vet what is going on..even tho this is for meat you want to make sure it is healthy meat..and if it is as simple as an injection or an antibiotic why not pay out the money to get what ya need later on??
