I couldn't sleep tonite and was up scanning the posts, seeing what folks are up to and ran across a couple of posts referring to someone making religious posts. Maybe it's just me, and I'm taking this personally, but I post the things I do only to share them because maybe someone out here needs to hear the message or maybe will get some good from it. I DO NOT however, FORCE anyone to read anything I post here or have I EVER attacked another person for THEIR beliefs. We each have different things we believe in, mine happens to be God. If someone replies, and either shares my beliefs or not then fine. If a post gets no reply, then that's fine too. As far as political posts, I usually don't respond to them no matter how much I agree or disagree with them. I would suspect that there is SOMEONE out there, maybe just lurking on this board though who NEEDED to read something Positive and I hope that maybe by reading something I posted here it maybe made them feel better about whatever situation they may be going through at the time. I'll never know that unless they respond in a Positive way back to me here, and that's ok too. Having said that I will also PROUDLY say that I'll STILL be Praying for each and everyone on this board and their extended families. And if I've offended anyone by saying this, rest assured, that was NOT my intention at all : )

DD, I don't always care to read through each and every little thing that gets posted here, but one or two of your postings have just sent chills down my spine. The story about the minister and the wrong number you posted just the other day? I forwarded that on to many friends and family members. I say, to each his or her own, and unless the majority of the people on this board band together and elect to ban these (to me, uplifting) posts, then they are not "spam."

DD, I may not reply to all threads.
I appreciate your uplifting posts whether they are about God or just a positive look at life.
You have every right to post them and who ever wishes may enjoy or ignore them.

I feel the same about political posts. This time of year it is almost imposible not to be interested in it. I see nothing wrong with political posts whether left or right or demo or repub. I post and let my "ratwing" views be known and every "leftist" can do that too. I try not to ever get ugly with anyone. Most of the people here seem to manage to do it peacefully.

Political discussions or debates are good, I think. I do feel folks who cannot partake without losing it an get ugly probably should ignore those, too.

I guess there could be a "warning" like I put on mine during football season so those easily offended or irritated would know not to read them! JMHO

DD, I don't always respond but I read nearly everything that shows up at this site. For my part in this issue, I am pleased to read the things you post. I want the world to know that I am not ashamed of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. If that makes me weird to people here below, so be it. My goal is for a higher place.

So, you keep on posting and if anyone doesn't want to read them they know how to scroll past...gfp

I like what Doc posted...    Posted 05-19-2004 at 23:11:43       [Reply]  [No Email]

A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular".
Adlai E. Stevenson
