Perhaps you can help me.
Some months ago I was looking for words sung to the music of the "Blue Skirt Waltz."
Found some material, but having a bit of a hearing problem some music comes in or hits me as merely noise.
The wife says that this music was our SONG! Which troubles me more than may be imagined. It is not the big anniversary coming up but one of the lesser though important ones. Any help from any source would be appreciated.
Thank You

Looks like the others have already taken care of you. I can hear Franky Yankovic playing and singing it now!
BTW, whenever I'm having trouble finding something like that, I always go to my man, Joe K over on the Tales board. That guy can find anything.

Thanks Fern(Mi)    Posted 05-20-2004 at 04:32:32       [Reply]  [No Email]
Thanks Les.
I'll give Joe K a try later. Got to find the lady with the shillet and see what's cooking this morning.
Haven't yet caught up on last week's work. Getting so far behind I may even skip the reast of the week.

Try this, I remember that night with you
Lady when first we me.
We danced in a world of blue
how can my heart forget.
blue were the skies and
blue were your eyes
just like the blue dree you wore
come back blue lady come back
don't be blue anymore.

This what ya looking fer???

Blue Skirt Waltz
(Mitchell Parish & Vaclav Blaha)

I wandered alone one night
'til I heard an orchestra play
I met you where lights were bright
and people were carefree & gay.
You were the beautiful lady in blue,
I was in heaven just waltzing with you.
You filled me with strange delight
then softly you stole away.

I dream of that night with you,
lady when first we met.
We danced in a world of blue
how can my heart forget.
Blue were the skies and blue were your eyes
just like the blue skirt you wore.
Come back, blue lady come back.
Don't be blue anymore.

I at times came up short on the romantic things I should have done. Just trying ti catchup and make amends some of those that were shorted.
