Zoning for chickens in Spotsylvania County

I wondered if anyone out there happens to know what the zoning regulations are regarding keeping a few little (hens - not roosters)in Spotsylvania Cty, Va. We live in a more suburban area than farming but still, I assume the rules remain the same for everyone.

do you live in an area zoned as agriculture? If you do, fine. However, as you must know if you live here, Home Owner Associations wield a lot of power. If you live in a subdivision you had better check the covenants. Incidently, I live in Spotsy.
