Ive seen several posters ask another poster to "ping" them. What is that?

Correctamundo on the email. Two sources for this term. The obvious one is that sometimes folks will get to swapping emails back and forth so that it resembles a ping-pong game.

Also "Ping" is a technical term in computer networking. If you are unsure whether another computer connected to the network is working properly, you can send it a small packet of data, (each computer has a unique address) and if it's online and working properly, it will return the data. The command to execute this test is "ping" where the number is the address of the computer you're trying to contact.

Now, aren't you sorry you asked? ":^)

Salmoneye, I think work interupts Texas' board time occasionally when he is in his office.
You know those things he cant delegate to the secretaries. LOL

Gonna go see Mutt today. I'll ask him how much he's willing to pay for your camp. ";^)
Trevor called this morning. He's feeling neglected that I haven't been up to see him yet this spring.

And then after you ping them you type back here and say pong so they know you answered their email ; )
