just to let yall know who I iz, and where I iz.
just a no haired old mexican red neck riginaly from Tucson Arizona now rezidin in oil city pennsylvania. my beautiful wife and I got three kids Kassy(17) K.C.(16) and Kai Dane(14). we are livin off grid and wez buildin a straw bale house so ifin yall dont hear from me the wind aint blowwin and the sun aint shinnin.
we raise big spoted dogs (harliquin great danes)thems the real perrty ones. gettin sum horses az soon az I get the barn and the fence up. ifin it stops rainin here I could get more done. but like I sezz yesserday glad I happend onto this link.yac at ya latter :)

If you are ever down the road in Tidioute, honk. We got a place there on the Allegheny and spend some time there from Spring Turkey to Fall Turkey!

How's the strawbale setup working out? A couple built one here 20 years ago and my uncles went to visit them in winter. There was plastic sheeting inside and out, the place smelled musty, everybody was sick, it was about 30 below outside and 30 above inside. Not the best house.
I've been letting some blocks dry this spring - the ones made outa straw, sawdust, sand & cement are behaving the best so far. No shrinking at least. :)

I WANT ONE!!! Harlequin Great Danes are so neat! There used to be one at a body shop my friend usedta work at. Just a pup but loved to play! I'll have me one someday ; )

i been around the buildin trades for, well, over 30 years. i got to tell you i aint seen no pig on any of the sites i been on. some fellas ride hogs to work. but there aint no pigs in the trades.

straw house? i cant abide a straw house. shootfire, we sneeze enough as it is. hahahaheee

i got ahead of myself settin the record straight for lenore. sorry. glad to hear about your projects. do you use a large inverter? and what kind of energy storage do you use?
