If that was taken around Brownwood Texas, could the gentleman in the back row in black, with a black hat, 2nd from the right be "Short Tom" Davis?? If so that is my great grandfather on mothers side of the house.

Brownwood Texas, approx 120 miles south west of Ft Worth. In Brown County. 1st white child born there was my great Aunts Melissa Chandler, she was also the 1st Postmistress, after they got a postal system in place. It's 90 + miles north to Abiline.

I knew where Brownwood Tx was. I had to copy the picture to my HD so I could enlarge it (half blind I am) and saw the Brownwood B_day label on my copy. I have kinfolks in Temple, not far from there. Seems like Howard Paine University is also at Brownwood.
