Here's a little one my wife made . We made the edges straight down and let the flat rocks hang over . Later there will be lots of water plants in there So you can't see the liner.

nice pond, im STILL in the process of finishing ours up (i started last falljust before the snows) anyway, i have loose dirt under the liner, after i filled it nearly full, i could see where the high spots were i rolled the liner back some scooped out some of the dirt to try and make it level all the way around, i also hung the rocks farther over just to the point of covering the liner and put another rock on the back for weight, once it was full you couldn,t see much liner at all,im goin to get some smaller flat rocks and put on the liner in the pool where it come up to the top, just went a bougth some hip waders , get s cold in there, working on the water falls and a 15 to 20 foo t creek now leading to the pond, broke the tractor down and just got it fixed up last night so im hoping to get the falls an creek finished up by the weekend, don,t think projects like this are ever finished though as all i been hearin is lets add this or do that hmmm, lots a

Plant English Ivy around it....the landscapers up here use that and it covers real nice. They also put the big flat stones around the waters edge so the rocks overhang about 6 inches over the water. :^)

Shan! Nice pond! When I had mine I planted monkey grass all along the edge of the liner, (tilted in) and then put the rocks around the ouside of the monkey grass. I swear. I will be building me another koi pond. I just love them.
