Funny how country neighbors are like that....always looking out for each other I mean.I can't open my Shop an hour late without the phone ringing off the hook with folks wanting to know if all is well....comforting to say the least!

i bet clipper....i live on an ole dirt road 3/4 mile of driveway to the road....dont anyone ever know where i live when giving directions....they say ohhhhh that lil dirt road near the church....thought was a four wheeling trail...i worry so much that a storm is going to come one day we get trapped or something and no one will know to look fer us.....the house to the right of me is Michaels ex father in law and he would never think to come check on the left is an ole ornery man thats just plain ole sour to the core and doubt he would come looking fer us either...the only hope we would have is iffin some folks from the church across the road came to inspect the church and remembered we were here......I try to be nice to the folks around here but i live in the sticks and the only folks i see more them every other month are the folks that stop by and get eggs, chickens, rabbits and stuff from me....going to town ...well thats bout 30 miles north and think i might go 6 times a year....Michael does all the shopping in town cause he always has the pickup to get feed and all....after the storm the other day i learned not even to count on one called to see iffin we were ok....we called everyone to make sure all was fine....2 days later and still no one has called to see how much damnage we got....go figure......sad how some folks just assume everything is ok....hope i never stop caring enough to just check up on folks or strangers...dale anne
