Dunno why, but that name just popped into my head when this little guy was born three days ago. He's a real cuddle-bunny, runs right up to me for a scratch when he sees me. Mom's not thrilled, she's one of the wildest ewes I've got, but can't stand to be more than 6" from her lamb, so she gets within petting distance too. Maybe this'll calm her down some. She's one of a pair I bought early this Spring to replace winter losses. The other is due any day now, hope she throws twins!

Folks (city folks, mostly) ask me "How can you name animals you know you are going to eat?"

"Heck," I tell 'em, "I've been knocking my pets in the head and eatin' 'em since I was a kid!"

I prefer punny names for my critters. Some of my past favorites have been a pair of twins named Beavis and Butthead (guess which was the male?); BamBam the Ram Lamb; Ram-A-Lamb-A-Ding-Dong (Dingdong for short) a mutt named Dogless McArfer and another we called Mugly Utt.

And then of course there's Fernando Llama...

Only one suitable name for a critter you're goin to eat. Just call them all "Lunch".
Have a good evening all.

The Black Sheep slot is filled in this family...

I expect Goofy will be a Silver/Gray like his Mom, altho that orangish stuff around his ears has me wondering.
