No,,but yes,,, If you have air in any hydro system then it will not function correctly because of the simple fact that air is highly compressable and oil is not. So with air you are compressing the volume rather than applying force where you need it. You can bleed air out of those kind of systems rather easily by a slight opening of hose joints.
