the supreme court has let stand bush (2001) legislation allowing mexican registered trucks to use our interstate highway system; that's almost as bad as regan legislation designating the MLK holiday!!!

Steve boy, In PA we have annual auto inspection, and there's still cars driving down the road with out the mandatory insurance, fenders rusted through, brake linings completely gone and bald tires. Overloaded trucks without brakes, faulty equipment, etc. The Mexican trucks would be an upgrade from these yocals.

we have them in Va too, but if you got a buddy in the business, you get by. Also, in Ca there is NO equipment insp. at all, just smog in most parts. That is real scary

I don't know what inspections Cal residents have to go thru but our big trucks with Texas plates hafta be inspected ever year IN Cal and when the truck passes the inspection the state of Cal issues a windshield sticker for it.

You can get a valuable education on Califruity truck inspections at Banning.

They have mobile tailpipe sniffers and have had at least since 1972 that I'm aware of, and they also have mobile DOT inspectors. That's what them DPS Ford pickups with campershells onum is all about.

and now they got to run a car on a dynanometer, that catches a lot of cars. the smog laws are tough, but no one looks to see if your brakes are even working, or your lights . You pass if you don't stink up the air, but if you can't stop it don't make any difference

Ya know,    Posted 06-08-2004 at 07:19:03       [Reply]  [No Email]
