well y'all i dont judge my sister iffin she wants to live her life the way she does then thats fine by me it's her money just dont complain about it.....just last week i got her a loan fer a grand so she could move to this new apartment...her boil bones fer soup sister had it when she didnt....My sister was taught how to save money by me when she lived with me...then she had her first son and they lived with me at that time i was working 2 jobs taking care of her/my nephew/myson/husband.....she also worked but i drug her everywhere with me to prepare her fer moving out on her on...even when i lived in the city i was still thrifty to a certain extent....taught her to cook with just a few things in the pantry...how to do laundry...how to balance a check book...and took her truck shopping with me...I never by new trucks,cars!....explained to her while truck shopping iffin ya cant afford to pay cash fer it...ya dont need it...always put out the extra 60.00 to have it checked out before buying and iffin $500.00 offer to pay $501.00 due to the lemon laws in philly back at that time...anything under 500.00 ya couldnt fight in court...my sister is a great mother always was....does things with her children all the time...but to explain to her that it dont have to cost money to spend time and have fun together is lost....Michael and I go on trails just to look at flowers...take the 4 wheeler out and just go till we have to turn back cause of gas running out...estate auctions..save money and it's fun to watch...drive on back roads and look at the different farms....the best times i had as a child was camping in the woods!..and it was free....I am going to make sure that our visit is a good one...however...she is stepping into my world and she will have to deal with it....i will slaughter supper....not in front of children iffin she request....boil bones...get chicken, goat, rabbit, horse poo on the bottom of my shoes, under my nails, and even on my clothing...I can shower and get clean....collect the eggs fer breakfast...the same ya pay good money fer at the market...use up any leftovers i see fit...and she will see it taste good....take berries from a bush and make her morning jelly....perhaps she will see that things are good here with a lil bit of work....but iffin she dont like it and it causes friction within my family or makes it hard to get things done around here I will ask her to leave...she will have to understand this is the way i chose to live and well i cant sit very long and chat..cause iffin i do a critter is gonna suffer fer it.....we wont eat come winter...the weeds will overgrow the gardens..or our income will suffer...i cant change what i do fer one day let alone the 10 she is visiting fer...i have explained this to her...hope she sees the glow in our sweaty sunburned faces when we put itall on the table...dale anne

One thing I have lerned is that I should never tell anyone that my way of life is the good way.
At least not in words(HEE HEE)

I lead by example and I mean that I act happy, live happy, enjoy life and the other person can see that my life is good and then maybe they will want to live in the same manner.

If you want to live good, then "LIVE GOOD"

Just my humble opinion and actual experience.

Hope your sister learns and yearns from your living style. Then maybe she will want to live as you do , Happy and contented. Good luck.

I hope she learns a lot from you. I hope she goes out and helps you do the things that need gettin done. A little poop, or a lot, lol, never hurt anybody. YOu be sure to let us know how things go. When is she arriving?

We also do free things. Feeding the geese down at the local college, romping through the nature preserve. Heck, going out back and playing eith the dog and the chickens is entertainment for us!

Shelby has a friend that is easily bored, I told her if she said that in this house, then she needed to go home and be bored. We love simple pleasures. Her Mama is always taking her to Six Flags, White Water, all that kinda stuff. We just can't afford to fork out that much money for one days entertainment. We are trying to save and get bills paid off so we can move. Shelby understands this, she wants to move just as bad as we do!

Now, keep us posted on the details. :)
