....Got this return E_Mail late this afternoon. Obviously they recieved my original two PLUS some more commmunications.
Not sure whether win or lose, but have gotten the corp attention to a problem they need to address.
I thank all those who have had supported my efforts. And if I may, especially George.
So, here it is corp america's answer for a little guy. Enjoy, with an extra nice little touch upfront.

I think they are overbearing. They act like it's your fault that they run short. So, one must ask, what were they doing while Good ole Fernan was shoveling snow. waiting for warm weather so they could fall behind with their orders.

WE RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM YOU. ONE WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT.
WE HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURING SUNFILM SINCE 1987. WE ALWAYS HAVE INVENTORY. THIS YEAR WE RECEIVED DOUBLE THE ORDERS FROM MY FORCAST, WHICH WAS 20% GREATER THEN LAST YEAR. IT TAKES 28 DAYS TO AGE OUR WRAP. THATíS WHY ITíS THE BEST WRAP IN THE INDUSTRY.
COULD YOU HAVE FORSEEN THIS MARKET CONDITION.??? WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE SHOVELING SNOW.
WE REGRET NOT HAVING WRAP AVAILABLE FOR YOU WHEN YOU NEEDED IT. PERHAPS YOU CAN ORDER EARLIER NEXT YEAR.
Thank you,
Carl Oppermann

on a related note.....
We were done chopping our first crop the other day. I sent dad to (get this) Stockmans Farm Supply. They didn't have a 40'x100' 6 mil plastic(I think it's 6 mil) They could order it?!?! yeah, right! I don't think so.

So dad goes to the local farmer who sells and rents out Kelly Ryan ag baggers as a sideline. He also sells bunker covers. Sure enough he had exactly what we wanted, not to mention $50 cheaper! What do these businesses think? we can wait for 3 days while they order stuff? I could understand if it was an odd thing I wanted, but I'm willing to bet 40'x100' is the most popular size sold.

Rant over, thanks for reading

Know what ya mean. Fuel and time precious commodities on the farm I try calling ahead to save both and additional running around.
I get so irritated with a certain tractor supply company. Call them, ďGot such and such in stock?Ē and they will answer to the affirmative. Get there, nobodies seen one for months, and Itíll be in next week. Only next week never gets there. And, then wonder who answered the phone?

Itís like trying to get the beer-tenderís attention to freshen my drink down at the saloon. Not that I wanted it refreshed, but is at least thoughtful to be noticed.

Iffen I wuz you I'd be looking for another company to do business with. IMHO.

Thought of that. Problem. This is the biggest toughest roll of saran wrap that can take the elements there is. Short our own mistakes i't will be difficult to find something stronger.
And I don't think DD will give up all her tube tops.

Now Sugar, my tube top won't keep ALL your hay dry ; ) And I say if this is the email you got from this company, I'd be spreading it around in another email to let everybody know how this company feels about it's customers ; ) Ya might not be able to put em outta business but it will make em sit up and take notice if it hits them in their pocketbooks. If enough of the farming community knows about it then they'll change their nasty attitude towards their customers. That's just my opinion about it. It sure has worked in the past. I'm not even one of their customers but I can guarantee ya I won't ever do business with em if thats their attitude towards a paying customer : )

The way corporate America passes the buck. Even if gentleman is PR, at least sombody is seeing or listening. So many levels of comand, so many areas for short sightedness, its a wonder they even listen.
I am none the pleased the problem has been acknowledged. Now if one of them trucksshould make it to Michigan, maybe a neighbor luckier than I will have something to work with. In that there will be another accomplishment. One recognition our needs. Two, something is being done to fix their problems.
Order early? LMAO. Our Michigan dealers have had their orders inbefore the Spring thaw. And, we can't get ours, until they get their's/theirs.
Its the manufactors schedules and product routeing that needs addressing here. Not my order date? Still POed. But like you say E.G. getting some lip service attention.
Fernan
