i know a 4 year old that fell and pushed his upper front tooth all the way up into his gum line. his momma said that the dentist called it an intruded tooth. said that it has to be extracted. cant they just yank that pearly down some and let it retake? poor little fella was real brave they say. i feel bad for him. i seen teeth broke and knocked out, but never pushed up into the gum like this. anybody know?

howdy mud......clipper is correct the tooth has got to go...as a medic and working in hospitals i have seen this alot! food can also get behind this tooth and cause rot to other teeth and impactions.....good thing the child is young....many children without front teeth due to 2nd teeth coming in.....and tell the mama iffin this sort of thing should happen again where as a tooth is knocked out place it in a cup of cold milk and get the child to the dentist...they can often get it back in...hope this helps... dale anne

Nerve damage is done when that happens...if the tooth don't get pulled there is a high risk of infection. Not worth it for just a baby tooth.
BTDT with both my boys on tooth damage.

Good advice Clipper. I wish I still had my baby teeth. But alas, I seemed to have lost the real second ones also, and right now Iím looking for the ones what were supposed to be in my cup.
