What I was TRYING to say--

Today was the only day of the week with no rain in the forecast. So I decided to take the tractor with no cab, just a rollbar and canopy, to a field 18 miles away to do some mowing.
Got there, got the mowing done, headed home.
About a mile out it clouded up and started to sprinkle. Then it turned to a SPRINKLE.
Then the SPRINKLE turned to a rain. And it wasn't long before the rain became RAIN.
Funny thing about those canopies, if the rain is coming straight down, as this one was, you don't get a drop on you. But as soon as you start to move more than 5mph, you get soaked.
So I pulled off onto a side road to wait it out.
Danged it it didn't rain for almost 2 hours!! I don't have a radio on that tractor, so about all there was to do was sit there and think. So that's what I did.
Actually my main thought was how I was could word this story to make it more interesting when I posted it. Hope you didn't read all the way through this hoping for a surprise ending, od punchline, cause there isn't either one !
sorry, maybe tomorrow something more interesting will happen to me!

as much or more sense than the posts that followed you, so guess you have no reason to apologize for anything. At least we know now that canopys are not good to eat.

I live in the city and I have been reading some of the question that were asked and I would like to ask a silly question How do you like living in the country versus living in the city.

Interesting story. It could have been more intersting if you tumpped over and cut your head off..But why would you like to be read about rather than be read? All in all,,You should be happy you had this fine tale to tell.

Oh I know, I'm not complaining about the fact that nothing spectacular, just meant I was hoping the story wasn't too trivial to report--

too trivial???? I thought it was flabbergasty.

Some of us try to stay outtuh water 2-3 months at a time and you got surrounded with water. Sounds skeery to me.

I'm just thankful the canopy did'nt leak on ye.

Atleast he had some sorta place to stick his head out of the rain. If he would have planned his farming he could have moved on the farm and not rode 18 miles on a tractor.Let me see..15 MPH at 18 miles..Or 18 mph at 18 miles.Times 2 = 2 hours transit time.
