problem is all she will do is play..if any of you were wondering what we called her....so far it's "Beast"..the name fits, trust me!

Hey Joe is your mouse in danger?

Joe Dirt    Posted 06-17-2004 at 21:09:09       [Reply]  [No Email]

The mouse seems safe (for now) but the arrow better watch out! She has her eye on it. Gets hard for me to read the screen sometimes. :-)

Oh it's Precious!!
Back in the olden days when I watched TV, I had a yellow cat named Yellow. Yellow used to lay on top of the TV and reach down over the front and try to help the Cowboys.
He would play defense and try and catch those opposition players as they ran across the screen!
Occasionaly he would try too hard and slide right off the TV.

Cute little beast you got there :-)
And a clean'n'shiny uncluttered desk..

I was talking some months ago with a woman I know, during the conversation I asked her if her boss was taking all his secretaries out to diner, [it was secretaries week celebrations]. She felt, somehow, offended by my using the term secretary. She corrected me in a very cold tone; we are not secretaries, we are asistants. Then she went on to explain to me all the levels in the administrative-secretarial-assistants ladder.
Needless to say, I will never call anyone that 9-letter word again.

Don't you just hate that word, associates, assistants? Secretaries........deal with all, on a fairly regular basis course I use to have a sign hanging at work:

"Do you want to talk to the man in charge of this establishment? Or do you want to talk to the woman who can find out what you need, and knows what is going on fast." hahahahaha!

You know Patria I never could figure that out. Of all the places that I have worked and all of the secretaries I have known I have admired their abilities to organize and keep track of all the stuff they do. All of them seemed proud to be a secretary. Yet today it seems such a dirty word to some.

Mornin'Sid

Like Joe said, perhaps PCness came to the rescue? of these fine, hard working people. And one would need to be there to understand the difference, I'm not.:-)
My regards to them all. Some times they know the company better than their boss. There is a Jean Stappleton [all in the family, Edith Bunker] movie that I love, about this very issue.

Take Care
Patria

LOL, clean and uncluttered desk. I should take a picture of the rest of it!

As for using the term "secretary" Thats about as asinine as wanting to be called "African American" They aren't from Africa any more than I'm from Poland! maybe I want to be called "Polish American"!

All this political correctness makes me sick! Yes, I can see not using the "N" word, but secretary? come on people, get real!

Joe Dirt, off his rant now...
