We, my wife and I, get Little Known Facts in our E-mail everyday. I have just now read the one from thurs. and found it interesting. If you remember a day or two ago a post was made about hemp. Well this LKF fact was about the marijuana tax act of 1937 outlawing the production of hemp. I seems a backroom agreement was made with William Randolh Hearst to keep hemp from being used to produce paper. It seem he had a lot of money tied up in timber and stood to lose money to the hemp industry.

In reference to yesterday the declaration of independence was in fact written on hemp paper. Little known fact that 3 copies on hemp paper existed. One kept by the founding fathers for posterity, one sent to king of england to notify him of our independence and the third was rolled up and smoked ha ha ha ha. Just a little joke this morning. I am a supporter of the hemp industry and see many benefits of it-not marijuaini. There is a difference.

That and it was a racist act against 'blacks', who were thought to smoke it and there was no way to tax it...

Hey Salmoneye, I went up to see Trevor yesterday. He says he hasn't seen you for years.

That all changes by the end of this month...

I have been given the Royal Edict...

I have to get the water line rehung, lift the porch and brace it, replace the screens, get the hot water tank element changed out and kill one or two fo the trees in the front...

The new lid for the septic can wait...

Instead of Maine, The Wife and my sister (and all kids in tow) want to use the camp in July...

I'll tell Mutt. My guess is that his comment will be "I'll believe it when I see it." And then he'll go on to say how it's about to fall down and you should sell it to him.
I'm guessing that Daphne will have some great memories of that place with her dad.

That is interesting, wonder what they were smoking in that backroom.
