Every action has a reaction

Everything has a reaction that is equal and oposite. For up there is down, For fast there is slow, For good there is evil Etc, Etc. We were all taught that in school. But that is not quite true, there is nothing to hold the judicial system in check. But that is not my question. What is the equal and oposite reaction to gravity? Can it be harnessed and used? Think of what that would mean for space travel.

Newton's 3rd law:
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. The direction of the force on the first object is opposite to the direction of the force on the second object. Forces always come in pairs - equal and opposite action-reaction force pairs."

THAT IS WHY WHEN YOU ARE WALKING THROUGH THE GARDEN WHERE YOU HAVE JUST SPREAD FRESH MANURE AND YOU STEP WITH ONE FOOT ON THE LOOSE BOOTLACE CONNECTED TO THE OTHER FOOT, YOU FALL ON YOUR FACE.
AHHHH, JUST SIMPLE SCIENCE.

As for that court system statement, the US system is a mess. The wealthy can just about buy what they want, a poor person is about helpless. Many a lying snitch cutting a early release deal or overzealous local system has sent persons to jail that did not commit any crime. And, the persons in charge are so arrogant, they would even own up to a mistake such as DNA evidence.

No, I never been in jail. Country living does provide a buffer from this horrid system.

The wealthy can just about buy what they want.

I have to go along with that. Now, take the case of Jacko, (That would be Michael for anyone who didn't make the connection), I heard on the news that he bought his way out of another child molestation/sexual abuse case.

If he had been poor the state would not have accepted a payoff to the childs parents. On the contrary, the state would have tried the parents as accomplicies in the case.

Now, what reaction will this garner?.......gfp

the case in the news for past few days is the one from a few yrs back.In the news now because the "secret settlement" amount(25?million) has leaked out and indications are it may have been paid by insurance company as Jacko only admitted "Negligence?",not seksual crime(s).And we wonder why insurance is so expensive.

Because that would make him a martar . I heard the Postal Service was coming out with a new stamp with that white faced FAGIT on it . Warning is not to lick it or beat it . Or it'll be classed as a hate crime incident . Ken C

Let's see - so if i took a hammer and struck myself in the jeweltickular zone, i should expect the strikees to promptly depart aftward with similar haste? Hmmmmmmm. I'm still confused - anyone care to demonstrate? :)

Les    Posted 06-18-2004 at 14:47:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yabbut would you be able to depart thence with any kind of haste after a blunt trauma to the jewelticular zone?

Hammer not needed. A small action will create an unequal & greater secondary reaction. I believe you just disproved the theory. I best study quantum physics where many theories are disrupted.

The earth revolves on it's axis at aprox 1000 MPH.It revolves around the Sun at aprox 500,000 MPH.Take advantage of that inertia/momentum and you go places.

Err, a side benefit of a wind generator? Use that electricity to charge batteries in an electric car? Then I could go places.

You might have something there JB. But when you load an altenator up to charge batterys then it is very difficult to turn.It will spin freely on the bech with out chargeing though..But never give up untill your idea has run the course. Many experts have learned new tricks from great thinkers.
