Gas was a buck? ((My dad sent me this:

"WHEN the middle east raised gas prices in 1973, I had payments to make on 2 big v-8 gas guzzelers. all the print was 'don't worry - detroit knows'. detroit expected 20 cent gas again, and the glory days of the '50s."))

Good steaks were $3-4/pound. Milk was a buck cheaper than it is now.

What else?

I remember working hard for $2.25 an hour (minus required uniforms, meals etc) and thinking I was doing really good.

The old guy there says watch this one honk and ask for cigs to be delivered to the door. Times are not like they use to be.
