I found my first egg from my chickens!!!! This is truly exciting for me. I have never raised chickens, I have raised these from day old chicks. They are more or less pets, y'all know that, I am rambling, I do that when I get excited! I took many pictures, put a qarter beside it, then a large egg from the fridge.

Now, I was told by many that this first egg would be a little thing. Well, I am here to tellya, it was a lot bigger than I expected! It was maybe a tad smaller than a medium size egg. Pretty cool eh???

Now I know this might not be exciting for y'all, but I just had to come on right away and tell everybody!

I dropped the two rolls of film today, I was gonna get the one hour, but decided to just wait a few days and get them back for cheaper, can't help it, I am a cheap azz, lol.

Don't mean to start anything but if you was mine with that kinda hair-trigger, i might be tempted to slip an egg into the coop just to see what happened. Are you sure ian doesn't have that kind of sense of humor? :)

LOL! Now that is a thought, but he was with me all evening, and was in bed when I found it and woke him up to show him, so no, but I am sure if he had thought of it,it would have crossed his mind to do something like that, lol!

When Cliff and I first moved to the country 37 years ago, I had a few banties. I acquired them in late fall, so they weren't laying at the time, and did not lay all that winter. The following spring when I finally got my first egg from them, I was so excited that Cliff figured out a way to empty it of its contents and "mount" it on an old Melmac saucer, beneath the words, "Our First Egg". I do understand your enthusiasm!

Hey! Thats a thought! Thanks for that idea! Can't you put a pinhole in it and get the egg out? I better go read up and see how to do it, That way I can keep it! COOL!

Ann was on her way to bed when I had to call her back to read this. You made her day and she wants to see pictures. You sure do get excited but then Ann got excited too.

Y'all are so sweet! I am so glad y'all enjoy my ramblings about this. Did you read my Chicken storytime yesterday? Clod was wanting a chicken story, and I just so happened to have one.

I have to finish this roll out, which I will do tomorrow so I can drop it off at the one hour! The other rolls from Florida will not be in until Friday. Be looking tomorrow night, I will definitely post them for you!
