and kicks up dust and flattens the nearby grass. Not quite ready for launch but the silly paddleboat might actually push itself around the lake. I still need to add a few trinkets like steering, an idler for the drive belt, and gotta do more about that shaky motor. It's a 10-horse tecumseh off a snowblower so guess it wasn't particularly designed for smooth operation. I have it bolted over 3/8 rubber pads to 4x4s that are bolted to the boat. Still shakes alot so i'll add an l-angle & cram some more padding in there. That's down in the stern and over the back i hung the wheel (wheelbarrow wheel with 6 paddles made outa baler belting) Then there's a plastic fender over that(Old white 55-gallon drum). And i'm making a chain-guard by re-shaping 4" plastic drain pipe. I don't mind falling into things long as they don't eat a sleeve. Boy i can imagine that wheel will be noisy. Kinda like whapping a beavertail on the water 18 times/second. Only 1 way to find out. :)
