Ok Kelly, while I'm on an obccure song kick, here's one you might like that was probably recorded when you were just a little girl.
Wolf Creek Pass by C.W. McCall--it was about two guys hauling a semi load of chickens down a mountain pass and losing their brakes--ever hear it?

Set My Chickens Free by Myrle Hagert - Better be ready to leave the big city before listening to this one

I looked at all of my Haggard songs but not one with that title.
Must have 50+ of his songs, could it have a different title?

This cassette has been stuck in my pickups cassette player for the past 5 yrs(stereo is built into the dash) but other titles on it are In My Next Life, I am an Island, Way Back in the Mountains, Chores - Not sure if this is a "best of" type thing, but if I had to pick a tape to get stuck this would be the one

I have a LOT of Merle Haggard music. I was raised listening to him and my Daddy loves to pick at the guitar and sing. "Big City" is a good one! My all time favorite of his is "I'm always on a mountain when I fall". And years ago the night before I got married my Daddy sang "Farmers Daughter" to me and the fiance'. (Even though he was really a trucker LOL) About a year ago I purched a CD of Merles' called "If I could only fly". EXCELLENT!! Still 'good ol' Merle', but songs you've never heard. Really good one!! I probably have all of his old stuff. If I don't have it my Daddy does!! I can also get you whatever Merle lyrics you need.

Well that must be the one that is not here.

Worth it to find it - I have a sign above the coupe that reads "Set My Chickens Free" - That song inspired me to leave the city
