discussion at work yesterday and no one knew the answer. are there any MIA's from either conflict? nuthin political here , just curious.

nobody has released the MIA info for Iraqi Freedom but yes there are MIA from Desert Storm.

I'm honestly scared to answer the question despite your disclaimer of "nuthin political." but here goes nuthin'.

I don't believe we have any MIAs (yet). KIAs and WIAs yes, but so far I'm pretty sure we have everyone accounted for...at least active military.

Contractors may be a different story as (being mere civilians and somewhat prone to a lack of discipline) they're much harder to keep a head-count on.

I try to keep up on the war but Steve brings up somethin I might have missed. POWs - Sometime back I was thinkin that there was a member of the armed forces captured with, or about the time the convoy was ambushed. I know what happened with the farmer turned truck driver who escaped. But did we ever get our serviceman back?
